Olympic Swimmer (Nigeria)

Habibat Ogunbawo

Olympic Swimmer and current International Swimming Federation (FINA) Scholarship Holder. She currently trains in Kazan, Russia and hopes to be an inspiration for future and upcoming Nigerian swimmers.

 

At the age of 17, she was the only swimmer to represent Nigeria in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and became the first Nigerian woman swimmer to finish the 100m freestyle in under one minute.

Author & Activist (South Africa)

 Zulaikha Patel

She first grabbed the world's attention when she became the symbol of the fight against institutionalized racism at Pretoria High School for Girls, at the age of 13. She co-led a protest at Pretoria High School For Girls against institutionalized racism and the decolonization of policies in schools such as hair policy, as well as several protests across South Africa in schools such as Lawson Brown High School.

Philanthropist & Child Activist (South Africa)

Stacey Fru

14-year-old South African International Multiple Award-Winning Child Author and Activist. She is the face of the African Union and ILO's 2021 campaign to end child labor. Stacey wrote her first book, "Smelly Cats," at age 7 and has since inspired many through her writing, including books available in Braille and Daisy formats. She runs The Stacey Fru Foundation, donating books, food, computers, and other items to children and care homes across South Africa.

Navalayo Osembo

The Co-Founder and CEO of Enda Athletic, Inc., Osembo previously started a sports academy in Bungoma, Western Kenya to provide sports proteges from disadvantaged backgrounds education. Enda Athletic Inc., a made-in-Kenya running shoe brand, creates jobs, invests in local communities, and spurs economic development through exports.

Bisi Akins

Presenter, host and founder of social enterprise ‘Young Gifted Initiative’ (YGI), She has hosted various events across the UK & Africa covering everything from music, hair & beauty, corporate engagements to charitable causes. She is the creator of SELF:I:E (Self Image Enhanced), a service created to teach women the importance of Self Worth, Self Identity & Self Image.

Emmanuel Oyeleke

Visual artist and Tech Enthusiast, he is the Creative Director of @eopstudios, a brand he founded in 2012. Oyeleke has earned numerous awards, including the  Fashions Finest Award for Fashion Photographer of the Year 2019. His portfolio features editorials for top designers and brands such as Deola Sagoe, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Coca Cola, GTBank, and Samsung.
