Olympic Swimmer (Nigeria)

Habibat Ogunbawo

Olympic Swimmer and current International Swimming Federation (FINA) Scholarship Holder. She currently trains in Kazan, Russia and hopes to be an inspiration for future and upcoming Nigerian swimmers.

 

At the age of 17, she was the only swimmer to represent Nigeria in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and became the first Nigerian woman swimmer to finish the 100m freestyle in under one minute.

Girl Education Activist (Egyptian-American)

Jana Amin

Jana is an Egyptian-American activist known for advocating for girls' education and women's empowerment. She began her activism career by narrating the reality of Muslim women. Jana works closely with the Collateral Repair Project, an NGO which is based in Jordan supporting the rights of refugee girls and women. She is changing the narrative around Muslim women.

Model, stylist & event planner (Ghana)

Michael Angelo Kwasi Taylor

Model, stylist, event planner and promoter/host for Cloud9 rooftop bar and club, he is an award-winning model, and loves it when his work inspires others to want to take up modelling as a career, especially in the part of the world he comes from seeing as such a profession isn’t valued very much.

 

 He was born in Accra, Ghana to a Liberian mother and a Ghanaian father but grew up in different parts of Europe mainly England and France. He enjoys playing sports and love music and movies.

Golfer (Nigeria)

Iyene Essien

15 year old junior amateur golfer, Iyene was born on May 17, 2006 in NY, USA. Iyene is a highly driven, talented junior, handicap 5.5 amateur golf prodigy and currently Nigeria’s #1 girls’ under 18 golfer. Iyene started playing golf at the age of 5 and began representing Nigeria at tender age of 11. She was ranked 188 (over 2,000 juniors) in the World Junior Golf Series, Dec 2017 ranking.​ Since 2015, she has participated in 20 tournaments - 6 local and 14 international, winning many trophies.

 Zulaikha Patel

She first grabbed the world's attention when she became the symbol of the fight against institutionalized racism at Pretoria High School for Girls, at the age of 13. She co-led a protest at Pretoria High School For Girls against institutionalized racism and the decolonization of policies in schools such as hair policy, as well as several protests across South Africa in schools such as Lawson Brown High School.

Novelist (South Africa)

Michelle Nkamankeng

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, on the 23rd of December 2008, Michelle started her educational life in 2010. At the age of 4, she had already started her reading interest and began reading thicker books at 5–6 years. She started the Michelle Nkamankeng Foundation in November 2016 after her emotionally touching visit to the Township in Johannesburg in September 2016. She has been able to give inspirational talks to many around South Africa as well as workshops, donations and partnerships

Rania Harrara

Rania Harrara is an 18-year-old youth political leader, a community builder, and an outspoken advocate for gender equality in sports and peace-building in SWANA. At the age of 14, she founded AFFC, an organization that aims to empower young girls to engage in football. Due to her work and experience in helping refugees, Rania got selected to represent Morocco at the UNHCR Young champions focus group.

Philanthropist & Child Activist (South Africa)

Stacey Fru

14-year-old South African International Multiple Award-Winning Child Author and Activist. She is the face of the African Union and ILO's 2021 campaign to end child labor. Stacey wrote her first book, "Smelly Cats," at age 7 and has since inspired many through her writing, including books available in Braille and Daisy formats. She runs The Stacey Fru Foundation, donating books, food, computers, and other items to children and care homes across South Africa.

​16 years old Rizvan Men started dancing when she was 9 and never stopped since. It has been a passion and a profession in the years forward.

She got her first ever music video gig when she was 15. That was when she decided that she wanted to make a living out of this career in the future.

​

Although it’s a second priority, school being first, she does not see herself doing anything else in her adult years.​

Mimy is a 12 years old professional print, runway and fashion model, Basketball prodigy, Kidpreneur and the CEO of fabtastic brands in Uganda. She has won so many awards including the recently concluded Little Miss Africa-Uganda 2021/22.

Sheilah Sheldone

A 12 years old artist, Sheilah discovered her talent in painting when she was five years old. Most of the time, she models outfits that she designed herself with little help from other professional designers. Recently, she was awarded with the Young, Gifted and Black Entrepreneurial Award 2021 Nina Simone Artistic Excellence award Artistry & Design Artistic Excellence. She has also been awarded others such as the Global Child Prodigy Award in 2020, Global Child Achievers award, and Most Promising Talent in Kenya
